I tried to set up the the touch pads to raise and lower volume and it works on my phone but when connected to my PC the touch pads change back to the assistant and summons cortana. I had never even heard playback quality this bad until I started fiddling around and found the only workaround that works with Warzone—Hands-Free AG Audio. You’re better off getting a wired headset, or even just getting a separate microphone. I’ll stick to a wired headset with traditional analog audio cables on my computer, thanks.
But, if you’re an iPhone user like I unfortunately am, your AptX headset won’t give you great audio quality when connected to an iPhone. Facing the same issue, volume can not be controlled on Windows 10. My headset had an integrated microphone, so I expected I could continue using the headphones normally while using the microphone. This worked for me as well. Chris has written for The New York Times, been interviewed as a technology expert on TV stations like Miami's NBC 6, and had his work covered by news outlets like the BBC. Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. When you need the microphone, they’ll use the headset profile or hands-free profile (HSP or HFP).
Windows 10 now has integrated support for AptX, but it’s impossible to tell if your Bluetooth connection is actually using AptX. Though if I don't use the mic and use the stereo profile, no problems.
Has a solution for this been found? Although audio is bi-directional, each Bluetooth audio profile has two sides that are not interchangeable since one needs to be in control. I had to go into the Windows sound properties and manually disable the A2DP device, which forced the game to use the hands-free profile and actually output sound. On OnePlus you're able to do it either by downloading the plugin from Play or from a diferent source, on Windows I'm not sure if it is possible. I did some more investigating and windows show the head phones connecting as 2 different devices listed as Galaxy Buds Stereo and Galaxy Buds Hands-Free AG Audio. If you want to speak into your headset’s mic while listening to music, playing a game, or watching a video on your PC, you’ll be frustrated.
How-To Geek is where you turn when you want experts to explain technology.
Full disclosure: My coworkers have had great experiences with Bluetooth audio on both Android phones and W1-enabled Apple devices. There just isn’t enough bandwidth available to Bluetooth devices, as Sennheiser explains. This is why your audio goes from fine to silent. Even setting the hands-free headset device as the default sound playback device didn’t work. It might be something related to win 10, idk.
I've googled around, and the only way to get any sound at all is to click on the speaker icon in the Windows task bar, and instead of selecting "
It works flawlessly and with no tweaks on Apex Legends, Zoom, Hangouts, discord and pretty much anything else that requires simultaneous playback and microphone use. Fixing this required powering off down the headset and turning it back on—in other words, rebooting my headphones. I have considered replacing the driver, but I couldn't find anything to go in its place.
